Playtest

Hey there! Thank you so much for your interest in play-testing my new game! I could really use your feedback and advice on Lava Run. I’m looking for feedback from everything to the general vibe of the game, down to specifics like how rules work, how to best explain them, and what changes I can make to design Lava Run to be the best game possible!

Ways to Play

To make things easy I designed 2 different ways for you to play the game! I designed a printable version of the game which includes the board, tiles (aka cards) and dinosaur game pieces. These can be printed as is and taped together for a simple paper version. Or try the Tabletop Simulator Mod that I designed to play the game digitally!

Printable Version

The printable version includes a 10 page PDF that can be printed from home and cut into the board, pieces, and tiles needed to play Lava Run.

I suggest printing on a thicker paper like card stock, or adding cardboard to the back of the board and tiles to make them more sturdy.

Tabletop Simulator Version

To make play-testing a bit easier, I designed a TableTop Simulator mod for Lava Run! This requires Steam, and a copy of Table Top Simulator, but can be played multiplayer too!

After creating a Steam account, and downloading Tabletop Simulator, go to the Lava Run Mod page and click the +Subscribe button. Lava Run should now be in your list of games when you open Tabletop Simulator.

Crochet A Set

While the base of this game including the board and tiles all need to be physical, this game is designed to be a craft-able game! That means that the pieces of the game are meant to be made from arts and crafts or have some customization element to them. In the final version of the game it will include pop out pieces you can color in yourself, but I highly encourage you make your own!

If you would like to crochet a set, I have all the patterns with full video tutorials on my website ClubCrochet.com, which you can find below.

Providing Feedback

The most important part of all this is getting your feedback! To make things easy, I created a very short Google Form that you can use to provide feedback on your game. Please do not forget this part as it is very important for the process!
